Smith Associates Firm’s Project, the initiation process is essential to explain the project purpose, client’s requirements, etc. Furthermore, the key outputs within this process includes, but are not limited to assigning the project manager, identifying those key stakeholders, completing the business case, and getting signatures. Once the above criteria have been met, essentially it is possible to go to planning process of the project. Planning Process: Project planning process is very crucial for project management as this will be considered the execution phase. During this process, the project plan is built up on by primarily focusing on the project necessities such as, developing the project scope, implementing the schedule and budget. However, as it correlates to the schedule and budget, the resources that are found are then followed through and implemented in the project. Taking it the account of the effort and cost, it is within this phase that is considered to be the most important phase. The overall planning phase is also vital for J. Smith Associates firm’s project. For this project, project management prepares a plan including project scope, budget and schedule.
